How to get to Xiamen city from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou/Shenzhen and HongKong

Xiamen, formerly romanized as Amoy, is a sub-provincial city in southeastern Fujian province, beside the Taiwan Strait.  This area connects to Quanzhou in the north and Zhangzhou in the west. The Jinmen or Kinmen Islands lie less than 6 kilometers (4 mi) away.

Ximen is about 2,000 KM away from Beijing,  1,000 KM away form Shanghai, 600 KM away form Guangzhou/Shenzhen and 700 KM from HongKong. It is more clear to see it on a map.

  • Take a flight to Xiamen.

  • Take a bullet train To Xiamen

Xiamen has two major railway stations, the Xiamen Railway Station and the Xiamen North Railway Station. Direct passenger trains are available from Xiamen to Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Nanjing, Hefei, Fuzhou, Nanchang and many other cities.
The Xiamen Railway Station is on the main island of Xiamen and is connected to the mainland by a railway bridge. The Xiamen North Railway Station is located in Jimei District.
