Zhangjiajie

In 1992 Zhangjiajie was designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO for its unique geological features, and since then it has become a favored tour destination for Chinese and Asian tourists. In 2009 the release of Avatar, with its Zhangjiajie-esque scenes, attracted more and more Westerners. In 2016 the world's longest and highest glass bridge, Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Glass Bridge, opened to the public. Zhangjiajie has great potential to become one of the top ten tourist destinations in China.
